GIVE Us a WAVE
We are Give Us A Wave, a four-person team tackling the World’s Toughest Row—3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. Through this brutal challenge, we’re raising awareness and funds for causes that matter: children’s hospitals, marine conservation, community support, and men’s mental health.
OUR STATEMENT
THE RACE
The World’s Toughest Row is a 3,000-mile unsupported race across the Atlantic Ocean, from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean. Battling 40 foot waves, sleep deprivation, and extreme fatigue, teams row day and night in a 2-hour on 2-hour off shift pattern, facing unpredictable weather and isolation for over a month at sea. With no engine or sail—just pure human power—this challenge pushes physical and mental endurance to the limit, testing resilience like nothing else on Earth.
WHY WE ROW
Some challenges are chosen. Some are not. We have chosen to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, facing relentless waves, exhaustion, and the unknown. But we row for those who don’t get to choose their battles.
For Grant, this row is about supporting children’s hospitals, giving families hope when they need it most. For Tom, it’s about protecting the ocean that has shaped his life. For Tim, it’s about strengthening communities, making a lasting impact where it matters most. And for Rhys, this is about men’s mental health, rowing in memory of a childhood best friend lost to suicide.
We row because we can. We row for those who can’t. We row to make an impact that will last beyond the finish line.
